UPDATE: June 21, 2017 at 9:42 p.m.:

The Justice Department on Wednesday announced the suspect in a stabbing in Flint, MI is 49 years old.

The FBI earlier that day described Amor Ftouhi as a roughly 50-year-old Canadian.

"It's an ongoing investigation," David Gelios, the FBI special agent in charge, said during a press conference.

Gelios added the incident is being investigated as "an act of terrorism."

The FBI official said that the bureau views Ftouhi as a "lone wolf" despite mentioning his "hatred for the United States."

Ftouhi repeatedly mentioned "Allah" while attacking a police officer earlier Wednesday, according to Gelios.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) earlier Wednesday confirmed that an officer was stabbed in the back and neck at Bishop International Airports main terminal in Flint.

The police officer has since been identified as Lt. Jeff Neville and is reportedly in stable condition.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Flint Mayor Karen Weaver addressed the incident on social media.
