These cards vary in design based on the year distributed. They are typically handed out in various competitions, more recently being the World Championships. The top-valued cards are worth more than $10,000.
The company in charge of the distribution of the Trading Card Game was the "Wizards of the West Coast." These cards have "PRERELEASE" written in the bottom-right frame of the picture and were meant only for the company employees.
L-P Promotional Cards
The LEGENDARY series of the TCG were promoted through a series of L-P cards. A whole set of these 79 distinct pieces sold for over $80,000, but the most valuable is the "Master Key" card, alone worth more than $10,000.
This card is the rarest and most valuable in the world. Historically sold at auctions for $20,000-$50,000, it was even listed at $100,000 a few years back.
